MOREL MUSHROOMS

It's another good year for the morel mushroom. And since we have already eaten or given away our first picks, we are overwhelmed by mushrooms. Unless Dale gets the morel hunting fever again, this will probably be our last pick for the season. Now to find homes for all 210... if we don't eat them first!

FINALLY SPRING?

Okay, I think it is finally spring. The redbuds, wild plums and creeping phlox are in full swing and the dogwoods have also popped out along with the wasps and bumblebees. And for lunch today, we had morel mushrooms. However, that is not saying a whole lot as these were the tiniest morels I had ever seen. Hopefully, this will be a good year for them otherwise we will not be handing very many out!

TITLE PICTURE

Until I take some more pictures, I decided to replace the main title picture with a photo of the boys from an Easter morning a few years ago. I am missing those boys so much. They are growing up way too fast and there is not a thing I can do about it.

Hopefully, I will we able to update this blog more faithfully. Priorities change and this was one area that was set aside for awhile.
